The movie, V For Vendetta is based on this graphic novel and the art in this was interesting, especially the special article that was posting in the end of the book about the interview that Alan Moore did when the story was still in progress. Those pictures are amazing. If you have seen the movie and liked it I would definitely recommend that you read it because in the book, you find out a little more about V and his background as well as about Evey. I love the plot of this.
Some favorite lines that I could find:
- page 14 – “Remember, remember the fifth of November, the gun-powder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gun-powder treason… Should ever be forgot”
- page 41 – “Her name is ANARCHY and she has taught me more as a mistress than you EVER did! SHE has taught me that Justice is meaningless without freedom. She is HONEST . She makes no promises and breaks none. Unlike YOU, Jezebel.”
- page 177 – “To pick a flower is not a large thing. It is easy as it irrevocable. understand what is being offered here, and do as thou wilt.”
